That means today is dedicated to going out and letting my inner rally driver have a field day. In an open, safe area of course.

I love a fresh snowfall - I try to find a nice parking lot to do some sweet skids. At the very least, it's nice to know what your car feels like when it does start sliding so that you have some idea of what to do if it starts to slide on the road.

then come to my neck of the woods, where everyday is a snow day.

The snow banks here are higher than the cars already. and It only started snowing after x-mas

It also started snowing here after Christmas (southeast Ontario) and we got 30cm or so all in one day. Luckily I was on a Christmas break so I didn’t even have to go outside that day. Snow has been steady since then, although perhaps not as bad as where you are.

To be clear: I love a fresh snowfall for skids, but not for commuting. Despite having winter for at least a quarter of the year and usually even more, people seem to forget what driving in snow feels like. I think in one day after a snowfall I saw four cars in ditches, three of which were on a dead-straight road.
